Located in the heart of Chicago, Illinois, INEX gives investors, brokers and clients access to underwriting flexibility, regulatory advantages, and efficiencies not found in any other U.S. risk management marketplace.
Capabilities
INEX offers non-admitted capabilities in more than 40 jurisdictions and is optimally suited for hard-to-place classes of business. It is ideal for investors and customers seeking integrated insurance and capital market solutions, including risk securitization and other highly structured transactions-and enables these deals, which have traditionally been conducted offshore, to be completed right in a major U.S. hub.

Participants
INEX counts among its current participants, or “investors,” leading providers of environmental and excess casualty programs and innovative specialty commercial liability, auto, and association program facilities.

Security
Perhaps most important, INEX grounds its underwriting freedoms in traditional stability. The Illinois Insurance Department closely monitors the financial stability of INEX underwriting participants, just as it does that of traditional insurance operations. In addition, participants must meet reserve and surplus ratio requirements mandated by the INEX Board of Trustees. The INEX Insurance Exchange Guaranty Fund, a non-statutory guaranty fund that is maintained to pay certain claims in the event of insolvencies–and indemnified by an A+-rated insurer provides additional security.

INEX’s realm of participants is expected to expand, and INEX encourages all interested investors, brokers, and clients to explore INEX’s distinctive advantages. To learn more, contact us by
